I’ve received a few requests to cover military aircraft on this blog, so here’s a 'short-and-sweet' photo story for anyone with an interest in that side of the aviation industry.

Airbus Military’s second production A400M has marked a key step toward its delivery to the French Air Force later this year with the successful completion of its first engine runs.

Designated MSN8, this aircraft – one of the four next-generation airlifters that Airbus Military expects to complete in 2013 – will now undergo taxi tests in Seville, Spain as final preparations begin for its maiden flight.
