Here’s what you can expect from Airbus at Paris Airshow 2013... including BA's A380!

The 50th edition of Paris Airshow is taking place later this month and Airbus has some special plans for the much-awaited event.

British Airways’ soon to be delivered first A380 will take centre stage at the airshow, which is being held at Le Bourget from 17th to 23rd June 2013... and I'm guessing the superjumbo will be a major draw for attendees.

In addition, an A400M (soon to be delivered to the French Air Force) will join the A380, with both aircraft types on static and flying displays.

An Airbus ACJ318 (which has the widest and tallest cabin of any business jet) will also be on static display, while various commercial aircraft will be delivered to customers during the show, including Sharklet equipped A320s, an A330, and the 100th Airbus Military C295.

A full life size A350 XWB cockpit and cabin section can be walked through at the EADS pavilion (Row A). Here visitors can experience the latest EADS group innovations that are shaping the future of aviation. This includes an e-Concept Plane, the latest ideas for silent aircraft taxiing, reduced emission flights and sustainable new energies.

Of course, we can also expect a number of commercial announcements and product briefings at the EADS pavilion’s media centre, as well as the end of show press conference which is scheduled for Thursday, June 20th at 10:00.

So those are Airbus’ plans… let’s see what Boeing has up its sleeve. Hopefully we’ll find out their plans soon too, so watch this space!
